| In
vehicle, from the Hostel we will go to the sector of Laguna
Amarga, more exactly to Hostel Las Torres, starting point
of a high demanding hike through the valley of Rio Ascencio
heading for the legendary Torres del Paine.
As an option, horses can be rented to take us up to the
first half of the way.
After crossing dense forests we will arrive to a point from
where it is only possible to advance by foot to finally
arrive at an interior lagoon whose waters reflects the impressive
granite needles of Torres del Paine.
Later on we will begin the return to our hostel.

After 3 hours of a light hike we‘ll
arrive to Rio Pingo‘s waterfalls which cames down
amidst a dense vegetation giving a very special charm to
the landscape.
After enjoyning a box lunch we‘ll begin our return
to the Hostel.
In our way we will stop by the Salmons Creek whose course
has carved the rocks with curious shapes.

In the morning one of our vehicles will take us to Pudeto
area where we will board the boat that will carry us across
Lago Pehoe to the area of Refugio Pehoe at the opposite
side of the lake. From there, and after 2 hours of a medium
demanding hike we‘ll get to the entrance of the
amazing Valle del Francés which deeply penetrates
the mountain range from the base of Mount Paine Grande.
Walking through the forest, and with the sight of the
spectacular glaciers falling from the icy summit of Mount
Paine Grande, we will get to the Italian Camp. From there
we will continue our excursion for a few miles to go deeper
into de valley. Now, if we are in good physical condition
we can continue further up to the British Camp, a beautiful
spot with an impressive view of Paine‘s inner summits.
Later on we‘ll begin our return to the Hostel.

Torres del Paine National Park is a place where big
surprises await for us behind every turn of the road so,
in this excursion our commitment is to give our guests
the chance to learn more of some of them, perhaps the
most impressive.
We‘ll begin the trip heading to the Visitors Centre
at the Park‘s Administrative Headquarters where
a short lecture will introduce us to this wonderfull World‘s
Biosphere Reserve. Afterwards we‘ll head to Cerro
Cóndor; from here a magnificent view of Lago Pehoé
with the Cuernos del Paine at the back will amaze us.
A condors nesting place in the area will give us the chance
to observe this fantastic birds in flight. Our trip continues
towards the Salto Grande, a beautiful waterfall in the
course of Rio Paine; then a short hike will take us to
Lake Nordenskjöld‘s outlook with the best view
of the Cuernos. After a box lunch the trip continues to
the area of Laguna Amarga and then to the waterfalls of
Rio Paine.
After a day plenty of images, landscape, flora and fauna
we‘ll return to Hosteria Lago Grey through the inner
roads of the park where a good number of guanaco herds
can be seen.

Departing from the Hostel, a vehicle will take us to
the banks of Rio Serrano where we will aboard Zodiac inflatables
that will take us down stream. After a while we will arrive
to a waterfall which forces us to make a transfer to a
second Zodiac, this one will take us down to Ultima Esperanza
Sound. During the journey we will be able to observe,
in the distance, the beautiful images of Thyndal glacier
which also is a part of the Southern Ice Field. At Ultima
Esperanza Sound we‘ll step on land and following
a path amidst the thick forest we‘ll get to the
base of Glaciar Serrano which calves to a lagoon surrounded
by an evergreen forest. After a box lunch we‘ll
aboard our inflatables to return to Hosteria, this time
up stream through Serrano River.

Glaciar Grey is the bigger of all those that can be visited
by means of a regular tour in the park.
At the present time this natural marvel of impressive
dimensions, which constitutes the end of the Southern
Ice Field, can be visited and admired in all its magnitude
sailing through the lake on board of our vessel Grey II.
Weighing anchor from Hosteria Lago Grey and after sailing
for 35 minutes among many icebergs, whose shape and colour
offer us unique themes for our pictures and video shots,
we‘ll approach the glacier‘s front wall which
is divided in two by a central island where landing is
allowed.

Mount Ferrier, located near the hostel, offers an unforgettable
trip alternative for those who loves hikking. Although
its summit is located at a height 1.559 meters and certain
conditions are required for its climbing, at 600 meters
we find a wonderful viewing spot. This place is reachable
by anyone that holds a moderated physical condition. As
the path gain in altitude a landscape plenty of lakes,
glaciers and mountains appears in such a way that almost
every lake of the park can be seen. This spot also give
us the opportunity to observe, at the same time, the glaciers
Pingo and Grey and the impressive peaks of the Paine Mountain
Range. This short hike will be, with no doubt, an unforgetable
excursion.
