01 VISITING SANTIAGO.
Transfer from the airport to the Hotel. In the afternoon departure from your Hotel to do a City tour Santiago to visit the Old Civic Center, La Moneda Government Palace, Plaza de Armas square surrounded by the Cathedral, National Museum of History, Post Office Headquarters, then a short visit to the Pre-Columbian Museum, continuing by Alameda B.O'Higgins main avenue and Republic avenue to admire old magnificent houses, the Club Hipico race track, The Cousiño Palace, the Santa Lucia hill, then the San Cristobal Hill, with a panoramic view of the whole city , visiting later the new civic center of Providencia – Las Condes, residential areas with excellent gourmet restaurants, parks and shopping malls. Overnight in Santiago. In Hotel of your choice.
Day 02 TOUR TO ISLA NEGRA, NERUDA´S HOME & VALLE DE CASABLANCA (TUESDAY TO SUNDAY)
Breakfast. Departure from your Hotel at 10 AM top the beautiful & imponent Casablanca Valley, located between the sea and the Cordillera de la Costa, Nationally know as the best aérea for White wine productions. We will get a deeper knowledge on the winemaking process and will will also visit a vineyard. We will enjoy a great wine tasting. In the afternoon we continue to the beautiful Isla Negra, awarded Nobel Prize in Literature. It was built in 1939, with stone and wood, with several elements that give it the atmosphere of a great ship. It contains various collections which we are sure will call your attention. Actually conserve as a museum is here where the poet is buried also. In the place where he lives his last days in company of his beloved Matilde. Return at the end of the afternoon to the Hotel. Overnight in the hotel of your choice.
Day 03 VALPARAÍSO & VIÑA DEL MAR.
Breakfast . The excursion departs from your hotel, crossing the Coastal Mountain range and continuing through the Curacavi Valley with its small towns and villages, later the Casablanca Valley where some vineyards that produce Chardonay white wine are located, then a view of the Peñuelas Lagoon up to Valparaiso, a picturesque seaport. Here you will enjoy the special architecture, hills and funiculars. Tour along the narrow avenues, visiting Plaza Mayor and Prat Pier, Victoria Square, Congress Building and civic center. Then you will proceed to the Garden City of Viña del Mar, visiting Quinta Vergara, the site of the International Summer Song Festival, then Vergara’s Palace, Botanic Garden, continuing by San Martin Avenue to visit Reñaca & Con-con sea resorts, stopping at a seaside restaurant for lunch (optional). In the afternoon, there will be a visit to Sausalito Lagoon & Park and the Sporting Club (horse race track), before returning to Santiago via route 68 to your Hotel.Overnight in Santiago.
Day 04 COLCHAGUA MAS CERCA
Breakfast and transfer to hotel Galerias where the great tour to Valle de Colchagua starts. This tour is the first wine tourism circuit and it was created in Chile in 1996.Approximately 150 kms (93 miles) south of the capital city, Santiago, Colchagua is truly blessed when it comes to producing red wines. Warm and naturally dry, but with an abundant water supply from the Tinguiririca River, Colchagua is a narrow agricultural valley that begins at the foot of the Andes and extends west to the Pacific Ocean. The approximately 910,000 hectares (2,250 acres) in between offer many different microclimates, soil types, steep hillsides ideal for vineyards, and a growing number of wineries that are perfectly able to make excellent Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, and many good Carmenère and Malbec wines.
The tour includes a visit to Colchagua museum and tasting of wines. Time for lunch ( not included)
Return to the hotel in Santiago.
Day 05 SANTIAGO - LA SERENA.
Breakfast, transfer from your hotel to the airport to take the fligt to the beautiful and Sunny La Serena City ( We can book the flight for you also). Reception in the airport and transfer to the hotel of your Choice. In the afternoon at acording time we start a city tour visiting the nice cities, La Serena & Coquimbo. You can enjoy with the great neocolonial architecture and history into the elegance and the the proper conservation of its buildings and many churchs. We eill visiting the traditional market La Recova, the Archaeological Museum, the Mirador of Universidad de La Serena, the Monumental Light House, the Avenida del Mar (Sea Avenue), among other places, make this city a great place to find peace and quiet. Return to Hotel of your choice.
Day 06 OBSERVATORY MAMALLUCA.
Breakfast, free morning to enjoy the beaches. In the afternoon around 19 PM departure from your Hotel. To Andacollo City on road to El Churqui” hill at 1300 mts a.s.l. and 3 km from the center of Andacollo city
After an introductory talk and watching a video we will have the opportunity to watch the space throw one of its three telescopes.Return to your hotel.
Day 07 EXCURSIÓN A ISLA DAMAS Y PUNTA CHOROS RESERVA NACIONAL.
Breakfast. Departure from your Hotel. 140 kilómetros to norht of city of La Serena is located the little fishing village of Punta Choros, and Damas Islands can be seen, they form part of the Humboldt Penguin Natural Reservation. From here the tour departs in motorized fishing boat, navigates around the three islands in safe waters depending on weather conditions. There is the opportunity to admire the marine life of this area. In the waters surrounding Choros Island lives a colony of bottlenose dolphins, unique in that this is one of only three colonies in the world.
Usually they can be seen often performing jumps and pirouettes, you will also see sea lions. In the village on the coast lunch is provided in a typical fish and shellfish restaurant. The tour returns back to La Serena during the evening with a spectacular sunset. Overnight in the Hotel of your choice.
Day 08 TOUR TO VALLE DEL ELQUI.
Breakfast departure from your Hotel. On a full day Tour, over a mystic, warm and amazing valley, over this fertile lands we will find many fruits, like the Papayas, chirimoyas, Lucumas, olives also. This added to the vineyards, where becomes our typical PISCO. We also visit many little towns agriculture / mining on the banks of the Elqui River. One of this is Vicuña, the most important city of valley, because of the museum Gabriela Mistral, founded in tribute to our Nobel prize in literature also. The Baüer Tower, & the church. We will dicover the process of PISCO, the aromatic licor typical of Chile. We will also visit the School-house of Gabriela Mistral. Typical lunch include. Retorn to La Serena. Overnight in hotel of your choice. .
Day 09 LA SERENA SANTIAGO
Breakfast, Transfer to airport to return to Santiago or any other destine.
