Day
01 Calama - San Pedro de Atacama
Reception and transfer to San Pedro de Atacama from Calama
airport, located in the world’s most arid desert.
Accommodation at the hotel of your choice in San Pedro
de Atacama.
Day 02 San Pedro de Atacama
Breakfast
in hotel. 08.00 departure from hotel. Leaving the salt
flat we go to the Miscanti and Miñiqueslagoons,
located at 4.100 m.a.s.l. This place is part of the Reserva
Nacional Los Flamencos and is administered by the native
community of Socaire. The eruption of the Miñiques
volcano about one million years ago caused the damming
of the water that used to flow to the salt flat, giving
origin to these altiplano lagoons with blue water and
white shores. The finding of earthenware and arrowheads
confirm the occupation of this place between, 4.000 and
3.000 year BC. On the way back to San Pedro de Atacama
we pass along Socaire, a village
of pre-Columbian origin, known nowadays for its typical
Atacaman food. It is the last Atacaman village before
crossing to Argentina.

Day 03 San Pedro de Atacama - Calama
04.30 departure from hotel. The Tatio Geysers are
the world highest geothermic field. They are located in
the Andes Mountain Range at an altitude of 4.321 m.a.s.l.,
and the greatest activity takes place between 06:30
and 09:00 a.m., when atmospheric pressure generates huge
steam columns that spring from the ground, producing a
contrast between the mountains and the deep blue sky.
On the way back we will pass along Machuca,
an Atacama village which main activities are shepherding
and will show its marsh, ducks and andean sea gulls.
In the afternoon, private transfer to your hotel in Calama.

Day 04 Calama
Breakfast. 14:00 hrs. Transfer to the world's largest
open-pit mine. During the visit it will be possible observe
the extraction of copper and its production process. Transfer
to the airport. End of our services.
